Our Mission
Chant Counter was founded with a single, clear objective: to build a beautiful, high-performance, and completely private utility for spiritual practitioners and meditators.
Whether you are performing Hindu Japa (mantra repetitions), Buddhist meditation, Tasbih chants, practicing Pranayama breathing ratios, or tracking custom habits, counting plays a vital role. By keeping track of your focus repetitions, you cultivate mental discipline, track daily goals, and stay centered.
Our Core Philosophies
- Privacy is Paramount: Spiritual practices are intimate. We believe you should not have to create an account, share an email address, or send your mantras to a cloud server to track them. Your data is stored locally and stays locally.
- Simplicity & Beauty: Our interface is designed with a dark slate background, minimizing eye strain. The giant "Count +1" button makes it effortless to tap without looking at the screen.
- Accessibility: The tap size and font are fully customizable, making it accessible to practitioners of all ages.
- Offline Capability: Once loaded, Chant Counter runs completely offline. You can chant in remote parks, airplanes, or deep meditation spots without connection problems.
Tips to Maximize Your Practice
To get the most out of Chant Counter, we suggest the following routines:
- Night Dim & Wake Lock: Turn on "Night Screen" and "Keep Screen On Always" in settings. This ensures the app is locked in a dark, low-energy mode and the screen never sleeps while you sit in long chanting sessions.
- Sound Feedback: Enable sound once to hear distinct chimes. You will receive a high-pitched ring when completing a cycle (e.g., 108 counts) and a secondary tone when reaching your end target.
- Use Backups: Because storage is entirely inside your browser cache, clearing your phone or computer memory can clear counts. Use the "Export" button in settings regularly to download backup files.
